[Submissions Pool] Finding profiles for author profile matching in preassignment stage
Bug Report
Description
One of the administrative steps when processing a new submission in the pool (https://scipost.org/submissions/pool/) is the preassignment step, where Editorial Administration links the profiles of the paper's authors to the submission object. The search bar provided for this only gives 10 results, which is not always enough to find the relevant profile.
Behavior
Expected: When searching for a profile, a list of all matching profiles should be displayed. The matches should also be relevant, i.e. exact string matches up to accents, hyphens, etc.
Actual: Only 10 results are displayed, including irrelevant profiles that happen to contain the search term. E.g., looking for Fred Smith will give Alfred Johnson (names just for the example) among the results because Alfred contains the string "fred".
Steps to Reproduce
- In the pool, filter by status In preassignment.
- Click on one of the pool entries, navigate to the EdAdmin tab and expand the Author Profiles tool.
- Use the search tool on the Candidate Profiles column to search for profiles matching the authors. The bug is mostly relevant for short names.
