[Submissions] Confusing "Authors (as Contributors)" statement
We have received an email where an author is confused why other contributors are listed in the "Authors (as Contributors)" whereas only that author had in fact contributed to the publication, while the rest of the authors only belonged to the collaboration. It appears that the use of model objects like Author
and Contributor
is confusing to people with no prior knowledge of the distinction of those internal objects and instead interpret them in their colloquiual meaning.
I advise that we change the prompt to something that reflects what it means to be a Contributor
(rather then the word itself) and that a user is more likely to understand.
